“Market Families” explores the intensive physical labor and toilsome hours that the venders of Beijing’s food markets must endure to provide food for Beijing. The Wei family and the Wang family give us broader insight to their lives at the markets and work that is often invisible to the typical consumer. The Wei family has run a fruit and vegetable stand for 6 years while the Wang family runs a fish stand for 17 years. Their hard work and family values reflect broader Chinese Culture.
