The Xibe ethnic group crossed China from east to west in order to defend the western border in the XVIII century. Their main weapons were bows and arrows. Since then, they have kept their archery alive, passing it from generation to generation. What started as a way of defending the country became a sport that they are really good and respected at. Heirs of Xibo Archery focus on people who have inherited that tradition and how they deal with it in their own ways.
