For thousands of years gathering and traditional farming techniques has been the main source of food in China. These are the oldest parts of human culture and still present in our time. But these ancient customs are disappearing, although some families still live by the old traditions often out of habit, rather than necessity.

These families live in harmony with both nature and their culture and they are careful not to let things go to waste. A stark contrast to modern society.
