作品介绍(Work introduction)
The HuangShui River has an ancient history in the Qinghai region. As a tributary of the great “Mother of China,” the people of Xining City call the river “the water of life.” This documentary explores this relationship of river/people, looking to its muddy past and clearer future.
Giving voice to the people of Xining, the documentary is guided by the newly appointed “River Chief.” His role as the protector of the river is investigated as he guides us through the shape and recovery of the beloved HuangShui.
Take a journey down HuangShui’s course, offering a unique cultural insight into a new phenomenon of environmental protection.
