Chronicle of Xi’an is a poetic documentary capturing one day in the life of this ancient Chinese city that has lived for more than three thousand years. Combined with thoughts of different people from Xi’an on time, life, death and eternity it tries to explore the meaning of time to one of the world’s oldest nations. The development of the human race is an accelerated process that tends to continue at an even higher pace. These people are the witnesses of China’s progress, and one cannot but ask the question – where does that progress lead to？
