作品介绍(Work introduction)
Tibetan medicine is a thousands year old practice. It has been passed down from master to student for generations. Coba is a Tibetan doctor in his 70s who is passing his knowledge onto his son. There are 4,000 herbs to be learned, and they must be found in nature. The processing practices are changing with the passage of time and Coba’s son has build a factory to process the medicines more efficiently. But despite technology Tibetan medicine is inextricably linked to the natural world, and with environmental destruction the herbs are medicinal plants are becoming less potent. For the practice to continue, the environment must be protected, and all knowledge passed to the next generation: Coba’s granddaughter.
