一个年轻女子从荷兰来到中国,雄心勃勃地想要去寻找并讲述了一户住在海南之南的古老村寨里的黎族人家。她希望能找到真实且传统的黎苗居住地——“椰田古寨”。但当到达椰田古寨时,她看到的是一个停满了旅游大巴的停车场以及从中国大陆来的游客。他们拿着相机、自拍杆，在椰田古寨里边走边拍,试图了解在短短几个小时的时间里去了解黎族文化。面对自己原先的期望和当下的失望,她决定去分析荷兰和中国旅游文化之间的差异,而对她来说这比描绘黎族独特而简单的生活文化来说，可能是一个更大的挑战。

A young woman travels from the Netherlands to China, ambitious to meet and portray a Li family living in an old village in the south of Hainan. She expected to find this authentic life and traditions of the Li minority in Coconut Field Ancient Village. But when arriving, she saw a parking full of touring cars and Chinese tourists from the mainland. They walked around with cameras on selfie sticks, trying to get a glimpse of Li culture in just a few hours time. Confronted with her own expectations and disappointment, she decided that analyzing the differences between the Dutch and Chinese tourist culture, may be a bigger challenge than to portray the unique and simple life of the Li culture.
