《真善美》是一部探讨在面对现代化和全球化的时候进一步保留和促进传统文化的重要性的电影。自1970年代开放以来，中国的变革步伐对传统文化结构来说已经相当迅速且具有挑战性。 《读者》杂志以良好的价值观和积极性的故事在八十年代初期满足了人们的好奇心。《读者》的指导原则是“真、善、美”。

    这部电影探讨了进步与改变过去之间的必然性和复杂联系。由杨华（西北师范大学传媒学院副院长），陈天竺（《读者》杂志编辑）。他们分别从教育者和图书编辑的角度出发，一起探讨了以某种方式熏陶国人心灵的重要责任和意识。

    这部电影由近期毕业于加拿大北温哥华卡普兰诺大学纪录片专业的Robert Duhaime导演，并由近期毕业于西北师范大学传媒学院的金雨峤担任制片人。

Truth Kindness Beauty is a film that explores the importance of promoting and retaining traditional values in the face of modernity and globalization. Since opening to the world in the 1970’s China’s pace of change has been rapid and challenging to their traditional cultural structures. The magazine Duzhe has been a pillar of good values and positive stories helping satisfy people’s curiosities since the early 1980’s. The guiding principles of Duzhe are Truth, Kindness and Beauty.

The film explores the complex relationship between the inevitability of progress and the erosion of the past. It features Yang Hua (Vice Dean at the College of Communication Northwest Normal University) and Chen Tianzhu (Sub-Editor at Duzhe magazine). Together they explore the important responsibility of shaping the minds of their fellow country people, from their perspectives as educators and publishers. 

The film was Directed by Robert Duhaime, a recent graduate from Capilano University’s Documentary Program in North Vancouver, Canada and Produced by Jin Yuqiao, a recent graduate from the College of Communication Northwest Normal University.
