2006年，白鳍豚被宣布功能性灭绝。与此同时，岳阳市江豚保护协会和武汉白鱀豚馆正在致力于江豚的保护工作。
The Baiji Dolphin was declared functionally extincted in 2006. Now, the Yueyang Finless Porpoise and Wuhan Baiji Center are struggling for protecting the Finless Porpoise.
