Jimei: Architecture through the Ages is a documentary covering the old and new architecture of Jimei through the lense of the human experience. As the city has grown, expanded and modernized, many classical buildings have been left untouched or were restored, reflecting the city’s relatively brief yet rich architectural history. An old man, the caretaker of a Dragon temple explains the history of the temple as well as his life that led him there, a cafe worker talks about how their old building was restored to make a lovely cafe, and a professor takes the audience through the ages of Jimei’s architecture.
