(Work introduction)
Hair strands are like red threads, connecting the past and the present. Growing on the head, hair is also an extension of thought. From ancient times to the present, women's hairstyles have witnessed the changes of eras, the evolution of cultures, and the complex and subtle relationships between individuals and society. They are not only symbols of personal expression but also carry the collective memories and identity accumulated over thousands of years.
This film will follow a young Chinese woman, taking her iconic hair as a clue, to touch history with her, observe the present together, and explore: after experiencing history and understanding the present, how do we become unique selves.
