(Work introduction)
A mother visits her daughter, who lives in the mountains, after more than four months without seeing each other. Despite their desire to reconnect, the pace of life makes it difficult: the daughter spends her mornings working in the tea fields and the rest of the day running a small rural guesthouse. Between silences, gestures, and routines, finding a moment to share becomes a challenge.
But through Yao embroidery, an ancestral tradition passed down from generation to generation among women in the Yao community, mother and daughter find an intimate way of communicating — a way of being truly present with one another, without the need for words.
A story about connection, legacy, and the subtle ways we love.
