“At the beginning, when there was nothing, there was Music. And today, when there is everything around, there is music, still. And when there will be nothing left, there will still be music, of the cosmos.” With that as his profound belief, a young Ding Zekai - the leader of the Chaozhou Folk Music Troupe - invites the audience and the filmmaker on a poetic, dream-like journey that - through which the filmmaker examines his own relationship with music, and begins to understand a different folk form from the South-eastern region of Chaoshan in China.
