(Work introduction)
Set within the public parks of Beijing, Ten Thousand Things is a poetic documentary exploring the relationship between people, nature, and shared public space. Drawing inspiration from the notion of “ten thousand things”, the countless forms of life that emerge and coexist, the park becomes a living landscape of movement, ritual, and belonging. Here, generations intersect and moments unfold alongside collective acts of care, play, exercise, and reflection.
Blending observational cinematography with a contemplative gaze, the film reveals the subtle choreography of everyday life. It is a meditation on community, presence, and the many ways people seek harmony within the natural world.
