Changsha is a city that can be understood through food: not only through what people eat, but through the gestures, sounds and encounters around a table. Here, spice is energy, character, memory and connection.
This documentary follows Changsha from dawn to night. It begins in a rice noodle shop, where broth boils before the city fully wakes. The story then moves through markets, Hunan restaurants, teahouses and late-night food stalls. From morning noodles to fiery dishes, from old friends drinking tea to crowded night markets, food reveals the warmth, rhythm and everyday life of Changsha.
